To apply, participants must:

1. Meet program eligibility requirements. Program eligibility requirements are listed below.

3. Submit an online application. The application form requires an e-signature from parents or legal guardians, and acceptance into the program will require additional parental permissions. If participants are unable to complete any part of the application for any reason, they are encouraged to contact the Washington State Leadership Board at Programs@wslb.wa.gov. Accommodations may be considered for special circumstances.

Program Eligibility Requirements:

• be a 10th grade high schooler;

• be nominated by a teacher, counselor, or mentor;

• be a Washington state resident;

• have at least one year of formal Spanish instruction or equivalent conversational Spanish language proficiency; and

• be a U.S. citizen or a U.S. lawful permanent resident (green card holder).
